The 2026 BAUHAUS-galan in Stockholm published its full entry list on Friday for the meeting on 7 June, the fifth round of the Wanda Diamond League season and the first major test for athletes targeting late-summer's World Championships in Beijing. Stockholm's Olympic Stadium hosts 13 Diamond League disciplines this year, with promoter Jan Kowalewski telling Swedish television that the meet had its largest combined elite budget on record and had attracted entrants in seven disciplines who had won medals at the World Indoor Championships in Torun in March.

The headline entry is reigning world 100 metres champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who makes her first ever appearance at the BAUHAUS-galan in the women's 100 metres. Stockholm's traditionally cool early-summer conditions have not historically produced sub-10.8 women's 100s, but the meet's straight has been resurfaced ahead of the 2026 edition and is expected to play three to four hundredths quicker. Jefferson-Wooden's Mondo Classic appearance in mid-March set a Swedish all-comers' indoor record and earned her an automatic invitation back to the country.

The women's 800 metres is the meet's other top draw. World indoor record holder Keely Hodgkinson returns to Stockholm three years after her 2023 winning run on the back of a low-key opener in Rome, and is joined on the entry list by Mary Moraa, Tsige Duguma and Prudence Sekgodiso. Stockholm has not produced a sub-1:55 women's 800 since 2008 but Hodgkinson's coaching team have signalled the venue as a stepping-stone to a sub-1:55 attempt later in the season. World 800 metres silver medallist Emmanuel Wanyonyi headlines the men's race against Wyclife Kinyamal and recent NCAA West Regional qualifier Phanuel Koech.

Rai Benjamin's appearance in a flat 400 metres is the meet's most curious entry. The reigning Olympic and world 400 metres hurdles champion has previously raced the flat 400 only sparingly, and faces a stacked field including Diamond League series leader Jacory Patterson and Olympic 400 metres bronze medallist Matthew Hudson-Smith. The men's 1500 metres lines up two reigning Wanda Diamond League champions in Niels Laros and Yared Nuguse, with Drake Relays Most Outstanding Performer Titouan Le Grix completing a notable European trio after his 3:36.11 in Des Moines.

Stockholm sits between Rabat on 31 May and the Bislett Games on 10 June in the 2026 calendar. The meet will run from 18:00 to 20:00 local time and is broadcast across Europe on Eurosport and globally via the Diamond League's own streaming platform. The full schedule, ticketing information and the post-Doha 2026 standings are available at diamondleague.com, with the BAUHAUS-galan's standalone site at bauhausgalan.se carrying the Sunday morning shake-out runs and start lists.
